Orbit Necklace

orbit necklace

My latest contribution to the Artbeads.com design partner gallery is this necklace I created with tiny seed beads from artbeads.com and fine silver.  I’m not sure yet if I’ll be selling it in my shop, I kind of in love with it!  The colors I chose for this necklace are pretty much my favorite colors.  It’s perfect for fall but I would wear it all year round.  I’ve never been one to choose my clothing based on the time of year.  Seasonal etiquette be damned (sorry Emily Post)!

Dot Dot Dot

dottie

Well, it’s time once again to review another artbeads.com jewelry finding.  This one is actually pretty special, it inspired me to move my jewelry in a new direction.  I used  pre-made sterling silver circles and beaded inside them with tiny seed beads.  I was so excited at all the color combos I could come up with!  So far I’ve made several new pieces in this more modern style and I’m loving it!  I’m able to work with my favorite materials and bring them together in a really unique way.  The chain is also an artbeads.com item.  For now, I’m making my own silver circles with fine silver because I can, but for someone who’s not into soldering or fusing their own findings this is a great item to play around with.  I’ll be putting the new pieces in the store soon.

Some of my old bracelets

Here are a few pictures of beaded bracelets that I had made in the past.  At the time, I didn’t think to take aesthetically pleasing  photos of them.  I just put them in my scanner and that was that.  So, I made them a little more pleasing to the eye  by giving them something other than a white background.

Twisted Ribbon

Ribbon 3

Here is another contribution to my collection of posts about artbeads.com.  They have given me some great Swarovski beads and asked me to blog about them.  Here are a pair of earrings I made with a crystal from the “twist” series.  The crystals reflect the light so beautifully.  I thought it would be a great pair of earrings to wear to a holiday party.

Pierrot

pierrot earrings

When I showed my sister these earrings, she instantly said they reminded her of a gift I had given her a few years back that had an illustration of a French mime with big buttons running down the front of his costume.

The gorgeous “green opal” swarovski beads are some of the crystals that were given to me by Artbeads.com as a part of their blogger program.
